It appears that there is a V-8 destined for the engine bay of BMW’s recently announced 3-series folding hardtop convertible. Although BMW is staying quiet on next-gen M3 details, it’s widely accepted that the car will be propelled by a V-8 of no less than 400 horsepower. And, as you see here, the convertible version will be available as a hardtop. Beyond that, details are sketchy. Enthusiast forums have posted alleged insider information, but we don't expect official U.S. info and pricing for another few months, at minimum. Somewhere around $57,000 would be a good bet.
