Employee turnover at Monterey Bay Motor Works is infrequent. It's a comfortable environment of maturity and mutual trust that raises the expectations of both employer and employee. We treat our employees with respect, expecting respect in return.. Family emergencies are dealt with appropriately, and work hours adjusted to accommodate family situations.

 We stress professional and proper procedural methods when diagnosing vehicles, and expect proper usage of  tools and information systems available to you in our shop. We offer training through in-house and outside-facility education for system specific informational and diagnostic tools. We stress a hands-on approach that teaches the fundamentals of software and hardware tools retained by practical experience.

 Training is available for all levels of technicians displaying aptitude and desire for growth. Our industry is moving at such a quick pace technically that continuing education is mandatory for anyone desiring future involvement in the automotive industry. I've seen young people with little automotive experience excel as technicians, bringing disciplines from other trades and applying them appropriately to auto diagnostics and repair. Benefits

 After six months of employment all employees are offered health insurance through a Blue Cross HSA plan. Monterey Bay Motor Works pays all insurance costs, and contributes $100 a month per employee to the Health Savings Account (HSA). This money is tax differed, and yours to keep when you leave our business. Regardless of employee hire date, all regular holidays are paid for with time off, including the week between Christmas and New Years. One additional week of vacation is accrued after one year employment, with another week accrued after three years of employment. Up to six days of sick leave is available after six months employment. A one hour lunch break can be waived for early departure times. A twenty minute break at eleven a.m. is utilized by most employees to eat lunch.
